Attic Insulation and Radiant Barrier
A hot upstairs usually starts in the attic. We clean out old insulation, blow in new to R-38 or higher, and add radiant barrier to cut the heat coming off the roof.

Why the Attic Matters Here
On a summer afternoon in Ontario an attic can pass 140 degrees. That heat pushes down through the ceiling all day and into the night. Many older homes still have a few inches of settled insulation, far below what California asks for in new homes today.
What We Do
If the old insulation is dirty, wet or full of pests, we vacuum it out first. Then we seal the obvious gaps around lights and pipes and blow in new insulation to an even depth across the attic floor. Radiant barrier goes on the underside of the roof deck to reflect heat before it reaches the insulation.
Our customers have been leaving reviews about this work for over ten years. Most of them mention the same thing, that the house felt cooler the first hot day after.
Pairs Well With a New Roof
If you are replacing the roof, it is the easiest time to fix the attic too. The crew is already there and the vents are already open.

Questions People Ask
How much insulation does my attic need?
For our climate, R-38 is a common target for attics. That is roughly 10 to 14 inches of blown in insulation depending on the material.
What is a radiant barrier?
A foil layer under the roof deck that reflects heat back up instead of letting it soak into the attic. It works best in hot, sunny places like the Inland Empire.
