Shingle Roof Repair and Replacement
Shingles are the fastest and most affordable way to put a new roof on a home. We install architectural shingles with full tear off, new underlayment and new flashing.

Where We See Shingles
Many 1950s and 1960s ranch homes in Ontario, Montclair, Upland and Pomona have shingle roofs. So do garages, patio rooms and additions on tile homes. Some owners also switch from old wood shake to shingles for fire safety.
What Wears Them Out Here
Sun is the main enemy. It bakes the oils out of the asphalt and the grit falls off. Then Santa Ana winds lift the weakened edges and tear shingles loose. If you find grit in the gutters or pieces of shingle in the yard, the roof is telling you its age.

Choosing a Shingle
Architectural shingles are thicker than old three tab shingles and hold up better in wind. Lighter colors and cool roof shingles reflect more sun and keep the attic cooler. We bring samples and show you what meets the state energy rule for a reroof in our area.

Questions People Ask
How long do shingles last in the Inland Empire?
Architectural shingles often last 20 to 30 years here. Heat and wind exposure decide where in that range a roof lands.
Can you replace just a few shingles?
Yes. If the rest of the roof is in good shape, we replace the missing or damaged shingles and match the color as close as the maker allows.
Is a darker shingle hotter?
Yes. A dark roof absorbs more sun. Cool roof shingles come in darker shades that still reflect more heat than a standard shingle.
